Quick Start
Chordy works best when you start with a project, then add folders, sets, and songs inside it. Your library is stored locally first, so you can keep working even without a network connection.
On first launch, the app has three main areas: the top system bar with information about the current song, the action bar on the right or bottom on mobile, and the large viewer area in the center.
- Create your first project. Open Chordy, press the add button, and create a project. Projects are the top-level containers for your repertoire.
- Add folders and sets. Inside a project, create folders for your library structure and sets for rehearsals, services, gigs, or lessons.
- Import or create songs. Open a folder and use Add Song, the plus button, or drag and drop for supported files. You can also create a new ChordPro, text, or HTML song directly.
- Prepare each song. Edit metadata, choose the active file, add comments, attach backing tracks, and tune display settings for performance.

Normal song imports need a selected folder so Chordy knows where to place them. Standalone imports such as backups, Chordy sets, Chordy folders, and zip archives can contain their own structure.
